Be Nice, This is pretty much my first animation, rigged, modelled, and animated by me.
Its actually for a web design assignment for university, but im just trying to get as much 3D stuff in there as possible, becuase they dont teach it to us

I know an easier way to get it to stay in his hands that works in Blender. You add a "Copy Location" constraint (or the equivilent in other software) as well as a "Copy Location" constraint, set the influence to zero and then jack it up to full when he needs to hold it.
